Beginning in May 2010, several adjustments must be made to your computer in order to connect to NC Connect:
1.
You
will use a new dial-in telephone number.
A local phone number for you can be found on the numbers page of this website.
2.
Both
the dial-in username and the email account name must now take the form of your
email address: (example: username@ncconnect.net).
3.
The
outgoing mail server requires authentication. In Outlook Express and Windows Mail, this amounts to placing
a check mark in the box next to “My server requires authentication” in the
servers page of the mail account settings. Secure Password Authentication (SPA) does not get checked.
